Today, we have seven MUD Distributors in South Africa in major provinces.
MUD International has now awarded SA the rights to open THE MUD STUDIO. This is a huge accomplishment for MUD in South Africa as we have grown the footprint in the market and MUD has awarded us with this privilege to conduct training under the international accredited courses.

Los Angeles and New York are the first training centres that lead the accredited courses. MUD Studios located globally bring world class education to you worldwide. At MUD, we are dedicated to providing valuable training in the fundamentals of study. Each year, our schools train hundreds of students from around the world in a variety of make-up specialties. Whether a student chooses the intricacies of prosthetics or the delicacy of beauty make-up, Make-Up Designory prepares the student to begin a journey as a make-up artist.

MUD STUDIO CONCEPT
Based on MUD’s highly successful curriculum and teaching style, MUD Studio courses were developed to meet the growing demand for quality make-up education. MUD Studio’s operated outside the United States by licensees – offer the same studio classes at stand-alone facilities. With an educational classroom, the experience evolves from make-up enthusiast workshops to pro level classes – eventually allowing the student to join the ranks of MUD certified artists or continue their education Each Studio has at least one classroom and a retail space.

The retail space is a sleek new make-up boutique that provides the customer with a unique educational retail experience. MUD certified make-up artists and educators give knowledge to the customer as soon as they walk through the door. From the retail floor, customers are invited to attend weekend and evening seminars.

MUD BRAND – AN EDUCATED APPROACH TO MAKE-UP.
All MUD make-up and tools go through a rigorous testing process in challenging, real-world situations, from the harsh conditions of a remote film location to the bright lights of Broadway. Through this trial by fire, MUD continues to perfect each product until they see consistently exceptional results. Only then, does it receive the “MUD-Certified” stamp of approval. It’s all about honest performance. MUD believes the true purpose of make-up is to correct, cover and conceal. From our award-winning mascara to our creamy foundations, luxurious lipsticks to our silky eye shadows, each of the distinctive products performs as it’s meant to: precisely and beautifully.

At MUD, creating honest make-up products and providing quality education has been our passion for the past decade. “We plan to stay loyal to that tradition. That’s what makes us different from other make-up brands. We conduct rigorous testing for our MUD line of products through industry experts and up-and-coming make-up artists at our highly regarded schools in Los Angeles and New York, to ensure we meet professional standards for today and tomorrow.” says MUD International.
So whether you dare to be different, prefer polished and professional or simply want an all-natural look, MUD promises quality, long-lasting wearability, flawless application and radiantly accurate colour. With systematic lines, precision tools, how-to guides and insider tips, we’ve eliminated the frustrating guesswork. Just simple, smart, versatile make-up. No wonder MUD has been the expert choice of make-up professionals for the past decade.

MUD Sponsors at the Bachelor & Bachelorette 2013

Bach
MUD AS A SPONSOR OF THE BACHELOR & BACHELORETTE COMPETITION 2013

Bachelor & Bachelorette Show is an annual beauty pageant that is in aid of CANSA a non-profit organisation that helps Cancer patients feel at ease and consulting to their loved ones. CopperStone Productions started the event 7 years ago and the pageant has grown phenomenally over the years. 2013 marks the first national selection of finalist and shows a wonderful group of vibrant individuals who have been touched by cancer and want to make a difference by raising funds for CANSA.

Lindie Vermaak (MUD Johannesburg North Distributor) was runner up Bachelorette in 2012 and holds the pageant close to her heart and this is also the event where Lindie and Brenda Botha (Owner MUD South Africa) met and began a professional relationship.
This year the MUD team ensured that the finalist looked their best by being a make-up category sponsor of the 4 month event. The pageant kicked off with a women’s day event at Eagle canyon Golf estate on Friday 16 August 2013 . MUD make-up artists did each finalist make-up expertly and they looked gorgeous in their designer dresses and confident when introducing themselves and motivating their cause in the pageant.

Saturday 17 August 2013 was a press launch held at Kloofzicht in Magaliesburg, Gauteng. The evening was a huge success and MUD was officially introduced to the local press as a major contributor to the event and up coming events. The final will be held on the 9 November 2013 at Silverstar Casino and will be attended by South African celebrities, actors, singers and press.
MUD has received raving comments from all the contestants and people attending the event and is certainly being noticed by all who attend the functions. http://www.c-stone.co.za/bachelor/

The fashion show showcased local celebrity Zetske van Pletzen’s Haute Couture range of evening and cocktail dresses.

Zetske has acted in 7de Laan (a local soap opera), playing the sassy book-editor Marcel and has now found her place in the fashion world. The dresses were magnificent but not complete without the help of the MUD (Make-Up Designory) Team transforming the ladies faces to match the elegant dresses.

The MUD Team consisting of Brenda Botha, Loraine Meyer, Cindy Brits and Lindie Vermaak worked on 20 ladies faces and did a fabulous job. Each model looked fabulous and the make-up complimented each dress. We received compliments from the ladies on the wearability of the make-up in the bustling show activity.

Brenda Botha – Owner of MUD South Africa.

Brenda has been in the beauty industry for over a decade. She started out working as a therapist for Placecol Cosmetics in 2002, and grew within the company to an Area Manager. Within the Placecol structure she moved to Dream Nails and Body as a Business Developer.

Life leads you to different avenues and Brenda ended up at a South African make-up company, where she worked as a Sales/ Operational Manager. It was at this company where Brenda discovered her true passion in the industry: Being MAKE-UP!

Brenda went on her own in July 2011 – doing what she loves! She worked as a freelance make-up artist, doing Bridal make-up, make-up for TV, printed media and fashion shows. Apart from doing the makeup, she also facilitated workshops for many clients and corporate companies. There was a huge demand for Make-up Artist Trainings – at salons, as well as anyone aspiring to become a Make-up Artist.

She further went on to source a premium, professional make-up brand and launched it into the South African Market in 2012. Make-Up Designory (MUD) was her calling and she introduced the brand to the South African market with a bang!

MUD is set to grow to new heights with the launch of its first showroom in Pretoria, and the selling of Distribution outlets across the country.

Welcome to MUD South Africa!
