
A recent photo shoot held in Pretoria brought the recently announced MUD Makeup South Africa Brand Ambassadors together to show off the beauty of our products. Lynné De Jager – Former MRS South Africa, Marilyn Ramos – Current Miss South Africa, DJ Fix from 5fm as well as Sureshnie Rider also from 5fm.
The makeup was done by the various owners of the MUD Showrooms in South Africa and other MUD Makeup Artists: Brenda Botha, Cindy Brits, Saskia Silva, Jolanda Bedeker, Lindie Vermaak, Loraine Meyer, Sureshnie Rider, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Diane Rieder.

1. Fix (Fixacious) Moeti
5FM’s Fikile Moeti, aka ‘FIX’is a well-known South African Radio DJ, Club DJ and TV Personality (born 10 September 1986).Fix, made MTV history when she became the first female VJ on ‘MTV networks Africa’. The entrepreneurial 27-year-old beauty has graced our screens since 2006 when she won a nationwide competition to become MTV base’s newest presenter. Fix at the time a student at Cape Town University studying Film & Media, was picked from obscurity by MTV base from thousands of applicants and immediately joined the fast track.
Since then the multi-talented entertainer also joined the ‘5FM’Radio Jocks, currently hosting her very own dance show ‘Saturday Night Fix’between 10pm and 1pm playing the best of Electronic Dance Music (EDM). She has also discovered many bedroom DJs/Producers over the past 4 years giving them an opportunity to showcase their skills on her show.Fix is also a co-host on the ‘Rob Forbes Show’, Mon-Fri between 9am and 12pm.
DJ Career – Fix bought her first vinyl at the age of 15and fell in love with the DJ world immediately signing up with ‘Soul Candi’s’ DJ school. Having lived in the UK at an early age, and later living in the US in her early 20’s, Fix’s musical influences range from New York’s Indie-Electro House, to the UK’s Grime House and electro pop. “Ultimately I play good ass beats that takes you on a musical journey of ‘cray cray’ sounds!” says Fix
Leadership Enthusiast – Having started her career in the entertainment and media industry at the age of 19, Fix has always believed that business, the arts, and social development are not mutually exclusive. In order to play her part in making this belief a reality, after 6 years of working in the entertainment industry Fix decided to go back to school – studying at both Columbia College Chicago and New York University (studying Small Business/ Entrepreneurship). Constantly striving to enhance herself as a Social Entrepreneur, upon arrival back home, Fix continued her studies enrolling by enrolling at the ‘Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS), University of Pretoria.’
Fix contends that of all the courses she has done, the GIBS Social Entrepreneurship Certificate Programme (SECP) has been the most impactful – to her as an individual and to her ability to affect social change through Entrepreneurship. Consequently, Fix has partnered with ‘GIBS’ to give a life-changing opportunity to Africa’s next Social Entrepreneur by offering the Fix Scholarship.
Too add more success on her road Fix continues to work closely with ‘Business Arts South Africa (BASA)’ promoting young artists & entertainers to understand the value of business within their art. For the second year running Fix is thrilled to be joining this year’s judging panel for the 17th Annual BASA Awards 2014.
The Arts Media and Entertainment is what keeps Fixgoing, knowing that the platform she is given can change lives. Fixcontinues to mentor young people particularly in the field of Radio & TV. She is currently a board member for the African Leadership Academy’s (ALA) Student Enterprise Programme (SEP) for 2013/14.
Sports Career- Fix is an avid sports lover having had provincial colours for swimming (1999-2002), and having played two caps for the South African Springbok Womens’ Waterpolo team in 2004. She was recently introduced to triathlons and successfully completed the Olympic distance 5150 Bela Bela Triathlon (2012), and the Ironman 70.3 in Eastlondon (2013). Fix is a proud ambassador of national Health club Virgin Active and aims to travel & compete in Ironman’s worldwide.

2. Sureshine Rider
5fm’s Sureshnie Rider, hosts the 5fm Top40 and is a News Reader on the National Radio station. Bubbly, Passionate, Positive and Energetic best describes Sush, as she is affectionately known On and Off air. She is a firm believer in the philosophy of ‘What the eyes can see the hands can do’. She is a Radio Personality, Dj/MC/Voiceover artist/Motivational Speaker and Community Builder.
Sureshnie started off her career at campus based Durban Youth Radio, following her Journalism Qualification. She then moved onto to GagasiFm as a news reader and journalist, beforejoining National station LotusFM as a Weekday Presenter. Sureshnie left her hometown of Durban for the bright lights of Johannesburg, and joined National radio station – 5fm, her dream job, as an on air presenter and news reader. She currently hosts and produces the ‘MTN Radio Awards’ best Weekend Show’ , the 5fm Top40, and presents news on the Rob Forbes Show Monday to Friday.
‘’Radio is in me. At Age 5 I tried to take a radio apart, because I wanted to see what the presenters were doing, then I was concerned that at night, no one would be feeding them, curious Sureshnie always wanting to know more. This hasbeen the premise of my career… wanting to know more…hungry to learn and be educated. ‘’
Sureshnie strives in her personal life to make differences in the Lives of Others. She Co-Founded and launched an anti-rape and anti-crime campaign called Blow the Whistle alongside Legacy Lifestyle. This is a campaign that literally promotes the blowing of a whistle, to alert for help. As an ambassador she throws herself into her projects and is hoping that the Blow The Whistle project can be part of everyday life. She’s passionate about South Africa and keeping the treasure of its people safe and secure.
Her other passion is Journalism, and is a Journalism Graduate. Sureshnie can also be found behind the Microphones an MC for private and corporate events, as well as voice over artist. She hosts the Hit Express Show on South African Airways’ (SAA) on international flights.
Not wanting to stay in one medium, Sureshnie has successfully crossed over onto the television screen on and behind the scenes. She is also an absolute Petrol-head and lover of cars and is privy to testing some of the fastest Super cars in SA and in High Heels too. She was also the Production Manager ofSABC3’s 3Talk with Noeleen.
Sureshnie was awarded the MTN Y’ello Rose award. MTN chose their Top 10 Women in Radio in South Africa, and awarded each of the nominees a prize of R100 000 to invest in a Social Community Development Project. She has used her winnings to contribute to an audio library for the Chatsworth Youth Centre, and worked together with Women’s organization AgangSechaba to educate a student at Rhodes University. ‘In this Pay it forward initiative the student will continue the cycle of giving by educating a fellow learner when she starts to earn a salary, this way the Legacy of doing good for other’s will Continue’ Sureshnie

3. Marilyn Ramos – Reigning MISS South Africa
After proudly growing up as a small town girl, Marilyn went off enjoying the city buzz of Pretoria, studying Interior Architecture. Her passion for health and fitness encouraged her to complete her qualification in personal fitness training. Standing 1.74m tall she carries her MISS SOUTH AFR ICA title with pride as her love for her country is seen by all each day.
Marilyn firmly believes that the potential hidden in her diverse country is what’s sets South Africa apart as the Rainbow Nation, filled with hope and revival. Marilyn is involved with the elderly, showing appreciation to those forgotten generations who have laid solid foundations to today’s society. She is an Ambassador for Cotlands, a baby home, working strongly with her motto “every child needs a Hero to become a hero”. Marilyn has also become an Elandela Rhino Survivor Trust ambassador perusing awareness to save the worlds Rhinos from extermination. Being a passionate child of Christ, I strive to let the fire in me shine, providing a light for those in any dark places and being a beacon of hope for all.
4. Lynné De Jager
Introducing the lovely Lynné de Jager – Mrs SA 2012 is a real woman with real curves. She has her set values and thrives on new challenges. Former Mrs. South Africa (2012), Lynné de Jager, represented South Africa at the Mrs. Universe Pageant, and was crowned “The Most Perfect Woman in the World” in August 2013.
Born in 1984, Lynné was raised in Mpumalanga. After school, she danced as a professional dancer for Kmad.com a Contemporary Dance Company. During this time she qualified as an internationally recognized pilates instructor. Lynné worked with the Blue Bulls rugby team coaching the team in stretch, flexibility, endurance and core strength during the highly successful 2008/09 season. Lynné has pursued modelling and acting, featuring in several short films and music videos, notably including Heinz Wincklers ‘Jakarandakonining’. She has appeared on the cover of several magazines, in Nikon camera ads and launched the face of Sarita, the apple beverage and Simply Slim.
The victim of life changing crime and having first hand sight of human rights violations on an international scale was the motivation for Lynné to take steps to focus her energies on making positive contributions to her community. Mrs South Africa seemed like the ideal platform to create opportunities to meet these goals, and having won the title she certainly made use of the limelight and darling of the media to focus attention on various community based outreach programs close to her heart.
Lynné’s dream and vision is to reach women in South Africa and inspire them, be it young or old. – She wants to change the perception of what a real woman is all about. Lynné believes “It’s about your shape and not your size. The shape of your character and the size of your heart”. I would like to help women Empower themselves in as many ways possible!
Lynné lives in Pretoria and share their beautiful home with her partner, best friend and supportive husband, Wilhelm de Jager.
Lynné de Jager is also running her very own Graphic Design, Lasercutting and Vinyl Art Design Company called “Lollipop Ideas” She is an exceptional business woman, motivational speaker… and soon to be mom.
Lynné’s favourite’s in the MUD range is pomogranate eyeshadow and the Sandy Beach lipstick – which we incorporated to create this look.
5. Joa Nel
MUD’s junior Brand Ambassador and role model for the teenager groups.
Joa is a bubbly 16 year old teenager in the Afrikaans girl’s high school. She kicked off her modelling career in March 2013, and is a part time model with Boss Models in JHB and CPT. She has been featured in the Sunday Times fashion magazines on various occasions, national magazines, Edgars brochure and is also featured in Avant designer clothing national brochures. She has a dream of becoming a supermodel one day on completion of her school career and also has her own business as Herbalife distributor.
Joa has a passion for music and children and plans to donate time and money towards homeless children and to help out at baby and children’s sanctuaries. She remains humble, friendly and true to herself and others. She is grateful for all the blessings God has graced her with!
