MUD (Make-Up Designory) is an internationally renowned professional make-up brand that began in The United States of America. This 16 year old brand has proudly monopolised the professional make-up industry with its world class training facilities and high performance products and is making waves around South Africa. Brenda Botha is the owner of MUD South Africa and has successfully opened 6 MUD showrooms and distributors in the last 3 years across the country and looks forward to the next 3 Showrooms opening in September.
Brenda has a passion for the beauty industry and believes that MUD is the perfect partner for a professional make-up artist, image consultant, student and beauty salons. She has made a significant impact in the South African Beauty Industry in the last 3 years by providing MUD Products and training to major beauty salons and training institutions as part of their make-up services and various make-up training facilities. Her vision is to have a MUD Showroom, distribution centre and training facility in each major province across the country.
Her vision is becoming a reality with the launch of the first MUD showroom in Pretoria East in May 2013 with acclaimed make-up artist and stylist Jolanda Bedeker. Five other areas have been scooped up by talented ladies, Lorraine Meyer (The Makeup Effect) in the Eastrand of Gauteng Johannesburg, Lindie Vermaak in the Northern suburbs of Johannesburg. Saskia Silva manages the needs of Johannesburg central clients. The Western Cape has recently been dominated by owner Lindsay Fernandez and the area has been in a hype since her launch in July 2014.
We look forward to seeing 3 additional MUD Showrooms opening in October. The Freestate & Northern Cape will be headed by Annamarie Smit. Nelspriut will be home to Marlene Degenaar. One of the MUD Brand Ambassador and reigning Miss South Africa 2013 Marilyn Ramos will soon own her MUD Showroom in Northwest province.
Brenda says “We are being very selective of the distribution owners as we want to ensure that they are skilled make-up artists that will work hard at making a success of their business and uphold the high standards of MUD International.”
Owning a MUD Distribution is a rewarding and creative career that will allow each owner to be inspired daily in the beauty industry with endless possibilities. Benefits include: International Training Methodology knowledge and practices, Guidance in set up of the business and best practices, Support Training Guides, Latest Make-up Trends, Sales assistance to gain clients and advertise your business, Top Quality Make-up Products from the preferred brand by Professional Make-up Artist worldwide. Jolanda Bedeker owner of the MUD Showroom/Distribution Centre in Pretoria East and Centurion says: “I have been in the industry for many years and am so proud to be associated with MUD. It is a reliable, quality product that has done extremely well in my area thus far in our area. We look forward to more events and pageants where we can show off the beauty of MUD Makeup.”
