When we started with the import of MUD Cosmetics to the South African market in 2012, the vision was to have a superior quality and PROFESSIONAL makeup range that would be #exclusive to the PRO industry.
WHY would you ask ?
Well – at that time there was a huge gap in the market to equip and empower our professional beauty trade with makeup products exclusively available from a qualified beauty / makeup professional. Just as there are many professional skincare of hair care products available at the beauty & hair salons – I wanted to have a strong makeup brand that is tried & tested , superior professional quality – BUT to be exclusive to our salons & makeup artists.
NOW more than ever – our salons & artists who have been using , stocking and re-selling MUD products over the years are in a better position today – as they still have some form of income during this #covid19 #pandemic!
We want our artists, salons & image consultants who use, and recommend MUD to their clients, to benefit financially from it. Whilst makeup artists may get a PRO discount from other brands sold in retail stores – they are not able to generate an extra stream of income from it.
Because of this – MUD Cosmetics was a great fit. MUD started in 1997 as a makeup school in Los Angeles USA, and is now the largest makeup school on the globe! From MUD’s passion for QUALITY education evolved a superior & professional makeup range.
