1st MUD MAKE-UP SHOWROOM IN SOUTH AFRICA

The 1st MUD (Make-Up Designory) Showroom launched its opening with 20 beauty editors and special guests on Friday 31 May and over 40 VIP Clients on Saturday 1 June. The MUD Showroom is proudly owned by an accomplished professional make-up artist Jolanda Bedeker and is located in Pretoria. The Showroom will exclusively distribute MUD Products to all professionals in Pretoria, Centurion and Midrand. The Showroom offers a full range of MUD Make-up products, kits and tools for professionals and is a school by make-up artists, for make-up artists, a product for professionals by professionals.

MUD was founded in 1997 in North Hollywood, California. Today we have distributors and schools across the globe. MUD proudly introduces to the professional and public our quality line of products created with the insight and expertise of professional make-up artists. All of our make-up and tools go through a rigorous testing process in challenging, real-world situations, from the harsh conditions of a remote film location to the bright lights of Broadway. Through this trial by fire, we continue to perfect each product until we see consistently exceptional results. Only then, does it receive our “MUD-Certified” stamp of approval. It’s all about honest performance. We believe the true purpose of make-up is to correct, cover and conceal. From our award-winning mascara to our creamy foundations, luxurious lipsticks to our silky eye shadows, each of our distinctive products performs as it’s meant to: precisely and beautifully.

AN EDUCATED APPROACH TO MAKE-UP. At MUD, creating honest make-up products and providing quality education has been our passion for the past decade. We plan to stay loyal to that tradition. That’s what makes us different from other make-up brands. We conduct rigorous testing for our MUD line of products through industry experts and up-and-coming make-up artists at our highly regarded schools in Los Angeles and New York, to ensure we meet professional standards for today and tomorrow.
So whether you dare to be different, prefer polished and professional or simply want an all-natural look, MUD promises quality, long-lasting wearability, flawless application and radiantly accurate colour. With our systematic lines, precision tools, how-to guides and insider tips, we’ve eliminated the frustrating guesswork. Just simple, smart, versatile make-up. No wonder MUD has been the expert choice of make-up professionals for the past decade.

She graciously agreed to be our model for the Make-up demonstration where Jolanda demonstrated exactly how to apply foundation to your skin, using the right tools to apply your make-up to different areas of the face, using red and blue correctors. Finding features on the face and accentuate or lift & enlarge all eye shapes, Line, Define, Pop and Finish! Finally smokey vintage eyes the MUD way and the perfect brow were demonstrated.

The beauty editors were then treated to mini manicures, hand massages, back neck and shoulder massages, hair styling and finally full make-up to show the full effect of how make-up can transform your face. (See before and after photos.)
Saturday 1 June was attended by 40 VIP Clients in a morning and afternoon session where they were introduced to the Showroom, service offering and information regarding the benefits of the MUD Products. Jolanda also did a make-up demonstration to ensure all her clients understood the basics of make-up application and Line, define, pop and finish!
Anja Cruse-Bothma treated each guest to a make-over and image consulting talk on both days with insights to finding your inner style and basic guidelines to get the right look for you.  Jolanda closed the launch by saying “I have a passion for transforming my clients’ outward appearance; I wish in turn that directly influences how they feel inside.
