The 1st MUD (Make-Up Designory) Showroom launched its opening with 20 beauty editors and special guests on Friday 31 May and over 40 VIP Clients on Saturday 1 June. The MUD Showroom is proudly owned by an accomplished professional make-up artist Jolanda Bedeker and is located in Pretoria. The Showroom will exclusively distribute MUD Products to all professionals in Pretoria, Centurion and Midrand.
The Showroom offers a full range of MUD Make-up products, kits and tools for professionals and is a school by make-up artists, for make-up artists, a product for professionals by professionals.
MUD was founded in 1997 in North Hollywood, California. Today we have distributors and schools across the globe. Brenda Botha the Owner of MUD South Africa has a passion for the beauty industry and believes that MUD is the perfect partner for a professional make-up artist, image consultant, student and beauty salon. Brenda has made a significant impact in the South African Beauty Industry in the last 2 years by providing MUD Products and training to major beauty salons as part of their make-up services and various make-up training facilities. Her vision is to have a MUD Showroom, distribution and training facility in each major province across the country in the next 2 years. The Jolanda Bedeker Make-up School offers Make-up lessons, courses, workshops, special occasions, matric, bridal make-up services, personal shopping and wardrobe planning, and colour analysis for individuals, groups and corporate companies. The school also runs a 3 day beginner, intermediate and advanced make-up training course in association with Centurion Academy a certified educational institution.

The 1st MUD Showroom launch was held over 2 days. Friday 31 May was attended by 20 beauty editors and special guests including celebrity guest Lynné De Jager, Mrs South Africa in 2011 and 2012. She graciously agreed to be our model for the Make-up demonstration where Jolanda demonstrated exactly how to apply foundation to your skin, using the right tools to apply your make-up to different areas of the face, using red and blue correctors. Finding features on the face and accentuate or lift & enlarge all eye shapes, Line, Define, Pop and Finish! Finally smokey vintage eyes the MUD way and the perfect brow were demonstrated.
The beauty editors were then treated to mini manicures, hand massages, back neck and shoulder massages, hair styling and finally full make-up to show the full effect of how make-up can transform your face. (See before and after photos.)
Saturday 1 June was attended by 40 VIP Clients in a morning and afternoon session where they were introduced to the Showroom, service offering and information regarding the benefits of the MUD Products. Jolanda also did a make-up demonstration to ensure all her clients understood the basics of make-up application and Line, define, pop and finish!
Anja Cruse-Bothma treated each guest to a make-over and image consulting talk on both days with insights to finding your inner style and basic guidelines to get the right look for you. Jolanda closed the launch by saying “I have a passion for transforming my clients’ outward appearance; I wish in turn that directly influences how they feel inside. This new positive outward reflection is immensely rewarding.”
